JCCI and Japanese Representatives in New York Meet with Mayor Adams

Published on September 01, 2022

Japanese Ambassador to the U.S. Mr. Koji Tomita, Consul General of Japan In New York Mr. Mikio Mori, JCCI President Mr. Sayu Ueno, along with representatives of the Japanese business community were honored to have a very productive dialogue with New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

The meeting touched upon business promotion, educational opportunities for the young, COVID-19 recovery efforts, and Anti-Asian Hate crime.

With Adams at the helm, the city continues to make headway. And together with our efforts, we promise to resolve all cultural barriers and instill a favorable vision of all Asians in New York, act as a navigator for small businesses, and promote a synergy between Japan’s technology and the city’s startup companies.

We thank the City of New York and Mayor Adams for their time and the opportunity to discuss the issues that are critical to better improve the safety and quality of life of all New Yorkers.
