ニューヨーク日本商工会議所、日本クラブでは、「カリフォルニア州南部山火事」被災者支援を図るため、昨年１０月より事務局内に支援窓口（J.C.C. Fund）を設置し、会員企業及び在米日系人の皆様に支援の呼びかけを行ってきました。

その結果、企業２３社、個人７名よりご支援をいただくことができました。最終的にはJ.C.C. Fundからの支援を合わせ計１５万ドルを去る１月９日、支援先団体であるCalifornia Community FoundationのAntonia Hernandez氏(President & CEO)に直接手渡しいたしました。

ご支援いただきました皆様に改めて御礼申し上げます。また、被害にあわれた皆様の生活の一日も早い復旧を心よりお祈り申し上げます。

 From October through December 2007, The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York, Inc. and Nippon Club raised $150,000 through a joint fundraising effort for the victims of the California Wildfire.

A check for the sum of the donations from 23 companies, 7 individuals and the J.C.C. Fund, totaling $150,000 was presented to the California Community Foundation on January 9, 2008.
