Toyota Participates in Public Lands Day

 

Taking a hands-on approach as the national corporate sponsor for National Public Lands Day, thousands of Toyota volunteers come together to restore, refurbish and rehabilitate public lands ranging from national parks to local forests and beaches. Since 1999, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. has been the national corporate sponsor of the National Environmental Education Foundation's (NEEF) National Public Lands Day. In 2011, Toyota and NEEF also formed a new partnership to launch the Public Lands Every Day to build capacity for friends organizations supporting public lands throughout the nation.

2015 marked the 17th year of partnership between Toyota and National Public Lands Day. Toyota encourages their employees to get involved in NPLD activities throughout the nation by helping to care for parks, forests, rivers, beaches, shorelines and other public lands. On Saturday, September 26, 2015, more than 3,000 volunteers participated in Toyota NPLD events at 41 different public land areas.
