Brother Group's Active Corporate Social Responsibility Program


Brother group has a very active Corporate Social Responsibility program, and in 2012 made significant donations to charities and took advantage of a wide range of volunteering opportunities. Below are some of the philanthropic and community activities Brother New Jersey took part in this year while other locations had more activities:

- In December, donated coats and volunteered time after work to assist the United Way in their annual "Gifts of the Season" Coat Drive. The Bridgewater Brother office also worked with the Family of Rainbow charity to grant children's Christmas wishes, delivering presents and helping with the distribution.

- Donated $200,000 (joined by Brother Industries. Ltd. Japan) to the American Red Cross Society, to help with relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.

- Visited Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ, which inspires visitors to become informed stewards of the land and works to enhance the environmental health of the region. On September 15, 24 Brother employees assisted the Duke Estate staff in removing non-native invasive plants and replacing them with native plant species. (pictured here)


- Participated in the Bridgewater, NJ Relay for Life on May 18, designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research, advocacy, education, and patient services programs. 34 employees joined the all-night walkathon and raised over $24,161. (pictured here)


- On April 28, joined with the Friends of the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Basking Ridge, NJ, to help landscape the area and blaze a new trail, which will be open to the public in the near future. (pictured here)


- Donated $122,947.68 to United Way, which assists individuals and families to live independent, healthy, and productive lives.
